Turkish Stars
It was established on November 7, 1992. It started training with four NF-5 aircraft. Turkish Stars are part of the Turkish Air Force. It is a national acro time team.
Solo Turk
The main aerobatic show team presents the show of Turkish pilots like Turkish Stars. F-16 C Block-40 jet warplanes are used. Air aerobatics is performed by a single pilot.
Turkish Stars and Solo Turkish Difference
The Solo Turkish show team aims to show the skills of Turkish pilots and to envy the young people in aviation. The difference from the Turkish Stars is that the Solo Turkish team performs single shows. The solo Turkish emblem of the eagle represents freedom in the spirit of aviation.
- If you are a professional photo and video artist, you are also allowed to fly with the Turkish Stars team.
- Turkish Stars can fly from 300 meters to 3000 meters altitude.
- The distance between Turkish Stars planes is 1 meter.
- The demonstrations come out completely manually with the pilots’ abilities.
- They usually perform a total of 30 shows in a year.
- In demonstrations, speeds between 160 kt and 550 kt are generally used.
Solo Turk Unknowns
- There are only 4 solo crews in the world, except Solo Turk. These; Belgium, Netherlands, Greece, and the USA.
- Shows last about 20 minutes. Approximately 3.5 tons of fuel is spent during this demonstration period. Within 20 minutes, they have to make 20 maneuvers.
- Solo Turk team picks up the landing gear at 3 meters and reverse at 10 meters. Among the other Solo teams, only the Solo Türk team makes this move.
- The pilot speed record made so far is 2,500 kilometers, but for the safety of the show and the audience not to be disturbed, such high-speed flights are not made.
- In some shows loads up to 9G forces are applied. For a 70-pound pilot, this means a load of 630 kilos on it.
