FLIGHT DISPATCH

Specialist in flight operations, flight operations planning, implementing, flight tracking, and controlling, at the request of the pilot in charge or, if necessary, informs the flight crew, flight monitor the flow of emergency information to deliver the volumes required for licensed qualified personnel are approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. A student who has graduated from the Flight Dispatch program is awarded an associate degree in Flight Dispatch. A student who has graduated from the program can find work in airline companies (passenger – cargo) and representation/supervision companies. After obtaining a license approved by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, they can also serve as a Flight Operations Specialist (Dispatcher) who performs Flight Operations Management.

WHAT ARE THE JOB OPPORTUNITIES IN FLIGHT DISPATCH PROGRAM?

Those who are flight operations specialists or flight operations managers can find jobs at airlines that carry scheduled or non-scheduled passengers, air transport businesses that carry freight and Mail, and airports. Job applicants must first apply to airlines. In addition, officers who can be preferred with the 3001 code can be placed with KPSS score; however, in order to be able to settle in these positions, it is necessary to get more than 90 points from the KPSS associate degree session. Experienced flight operations specialists can advance in the profession and perform the profession of flight operations manager.

FLIGHT DISPATCH PROGRAM EXTERNAL TRANSFER EXAM DEPARTMENTS

Those who have successfully completed the department and received enough points in DGS (Dikey Geçiş Sınavı) (en. External Transfer Exam) can transfer vertically to one of the following three undergraduate departments. Entering the DGS is not mandatory. It is an exam entered only by those who want to switch to 4-year departments. It stands for ‘’External Transfer Exam’’. The DGS departments of Flight Dispatch Program are;

Apart from these departments, Flight Operations Management graduates can enrol in open education programs of Atatürk and Istanbul Universities. In addition, unlike the above sections, they have the right to switch to other sections with DGS Exam. These departments are;

Graduates receive an average salary of ‘’4-5K Turkish Liras’’.
